SPECIAL EDITION: ALEX WATCH
This year it will be 7 years since we lost our dear friend, Alex and 2 years since we lost his Mum, Anne. It was during the trip of a lifetime around South-East Asia, when Alex discovered he had Leukemia. He was taken to a hospital in Bangkok, where he slipped into a coma. He was in hospital in Thailand for seven days before he was fit enough to make the 9,567km journey back to the UK. Whilst Alex was having his stem cell transplants in his fight against Leukaemia, Anne, his mother, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The stem cell transplants, which gave Alex a fighting chance, were made possible by Anthony Nolan. Tragically, Alex and Anne both lost their battles with cancer but every day Anthony Nolan help two people in need of a lifesaving transplant by using their register to find remarkable donors who have matching stem cells. With our support and donations they can help try to save even more lives. For many people with blood cancer, a stem cell transplant is their last chance of life.
With the purchase of each watch £50 from the sale of the watch will be donated to Antony Nolan or a preferred Charity of your choice.
This watch has a unique ‘ace of spades’ style inscription on the caseback, based from one of Alex’s hand drawings and a testament to Alex’s creative side and zest for life.
This timepiece is only available to Henry D Johnstone Jewellers.
